Half Term Outings

It seems a long time since the summer holidays and when school began again in September, but autumn half term is finally with us. For many this is a week or two to recharge the batteries and a break from the normal routine, and to spend a bit of time with the family and children. It’s a great opportunity to get out and about around the St. Albans area, with many activities and events taking place throughout Hertfordshire for children and their parents/carers.

However, it’s often the case that parents have to work during the holidays, or are not able to take the whole time off as holiday, and so many share childcare by taking it in turns to look after each other’s children. However, this doesn’t mean those fun day trips are out of the question just because there are more people to take out and about. At St. Albans Car and Van Hire, we’ve got the perfect solution – a Ford Tourneo Minibus – which can accommodate up to nine people easily, with ample room for bags and all the other necessities that come with a trip out with the kids!

Events which might be on the agenda for a child-friendly group trip out are: ‘Mad Science’ at venues in Chorleywood, Radlett and Berkhamstead; ghostly arts and crafts and face painting at Inn on the Park, St. Albans, as well as Frogmore Paper Mill in Apsley; Pirates Cove Mini Train Express at Harlequin Shopping Centre, Watford; Haunted Museum production at Watford Museum; pumpkin trail and treats at Knebworth House; Willows Farm Village Pumpkin Festival in London Colney; classical ballet ‘The Snow Queen’ at The Watersmeet Theatre, Rickmansworth; Family Learning Festival at Woodall Library, Welwyn Garden City; plus many, many more!

With so much going on, it would be a shame for the kids to miss out, so contact us for a chat about the right hire vehicle to suit your needs, and we’ll get you on your way for a fun-filled October half term!
