We are just a 17 minute drive from the village of Flamstead which is sited near the A5 and junction 9 of the M1 Motorway.

Flamstead is located in northwest Hertfordshire with the river Ver running on the north side of the village and the adjoining hamlet of Trowley Bottom to the south side of the village.

Interestingly the old Watling Street in the parish follows the route of the original Roman road so the village has strong links with Roman history which in 2008 attracted the attention of Channel 4's 'Time Team' who visited the village and discovered a previously unknown major Roman temple complex near Watling Street at nearby Friar's Wash.

Flamstead is another of Hertfordshire's villages to have it's own primary school but no secondary school, with a large number of it's secondary aged children coming here to St Albans for higher education.
